Got this from a garage sale...there are 3 different books.  These have seen tough times over the years...and not in the greatest condition, but it looks like these are from 1923...or so...
Every flower that has ever bloomed, had to go through a whole lot of DIRT FIRST......:flowers2:

I grew up with a set of these, like the 1928 set shown here: http://www.hstreasures.com/bookofknowledge.html and I have a set from the 1930s on my bookshelf still, which my son adored when he was younger.

And I grew up with the book of knowledge, hmmmm, very late 50's/early 60's. (Not sure when my parents actually purchased them but the kids started arriving in '56.

We too, looks like we had c1960 10 volume set. Loved them.
