Help with doll, please.

Before anyone asks, no I don't collect them  :o my better half does, so could this be a 'Kewpie' doll, it says Made In Japan 5500 on the back and is 5 inches tall, ;D ;D

heh heh heh I wasn't going to say, Keith, I remembered that your OH collects these.  She looks like she has some age - I know nothing about dolls really, so can't make any useful suggestions... but there is an interesting page on Kewpie dolls (with images) here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kewpie - but I can't see a similarity with yours as such.

Thanks Anne, I did some looking earlier and saw that some 'kewpie' dolls were made in Japan in the 20s, thanks for the links, ;D ;D I'm just glad she doesn't collect vintage underwear ! :czy: :czy: :o ;D ;D
